I had first met Sherry in late 2016 when I became close friends with her foster family. Instantly there was a connection, but it wasn’t until December of 2017 that I officially adopted her. December of 2017 was a very difficult time for me, as I had just lost my longtime best friend dachshund named King Boomie. I’m a dog person through and through and I knew no matter how deeply I was grieving, I knew I needed another dog best friend in my life. I made the decision to adopt Sherry and I’m so forever grateful that I did. My love for her grew and grew until I couldn’t imagine waking up without her sweet kisses and happy yips for kibble. Sherry is the most loving comfort and balm to soothe my soul. I’m so glad she’s mine!
